Bad structure

"Due to a design flaw in the backpack's structure, the right side lacks sufficient fabric allowance. This leaves that section of the zipper exceptionally tight compared to the rest of the bag, making it difficult to pack properly on that side. More importantly, this creates excessive tension along that part of the zipper, making it very likely that the fabric will tear or the zipper will break over time. It is disappointing for a travel-oriented backpack—especially one past its first generation—where this type of structural design issue should have already been addressed."

Wife Loves It

"My wife wanted this bag for a year, when we finally got it she couldn’t be happier. The zips are all high quality, and the material itself feels and looks really sturdy. We haven’t traveled with it yet but it seems more sturdy than a competitors bag we have at home and that one is pretty good"

I want my old pack back!

"I want to start out by saying Cotopaxi has the best warranty, they stand by their warranty. I recently sent in an older Allpa 42L after the strap ripped. I dislike so many of the changes. They got rid of multiple loops on the outside I used to strap the bag down. They got rid of two inside pockets I used. Previously you could completely remove the hip strap and now its sown in. But worst they got rid of the side zipper that gave access to the main pouch and moved the laptop zipper to the opposite side. Now when you have the bag open on a table you have to flip it closed again to get your laptop, for someone that uses it everyday its really inconvenient."

No more carry on

"This bag will replace my carry on luggage. The problem with my other back packs has been that it’s a backpack and not mean for holding my clothes properly for travel. This does the trick. Will save me time and effort in the future."

Color Doesn’t Match

"The bag itself is super high quality. However, the ad showed a brighter blue color than what I actually received. This bag is mostly grayish on the front and green in the back. I wouldn’t advise ordering their bags online. If there’s a store that sells them, walk in and see the products for yourself."

Would NOT buy again

"I love the style and thoughtful construction of much of this bag, but the coating on the shell has not held up -- it is flakey and ripped and hole-y. For it to be looking this bad after honestly not that much use (probably 6-8 long weekends, two week-long travel periods, and one night of camping) is a real disappointment. I don't understand why they don't just use the material of the straps and back of the pack for the whole thing. The front coating is clearly ineffective and makes the bag look ratty. The inside is still in good shape though (see photos). As much as I like the rest of the design, I would not purchase this bag again."

Still good! Just missing some of fav features

"Got a new backpack thanks to their EXCELLENT customer service!! It seems great, just kind of bummed to not have my favorite features of the side access zipper to get into the main compartment without opening the whole pack and the lack of safety slips on the exterior zippers which were great for peace of mind while backpacking to ward off pickpockets. Not deal breakers, but would be great if they could bring back these features!!"
